Location and
Geographical Data

      Guatemala is located in the center of the American continent, 1600 kilometers north of the equator. Having as neighbors to Mexico at north and west, Belize, Honduras and El Salvador to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the south.

Country Size: 108,889 Km2

     The country basically consist in a mountain plateau in the center of the territory (it reach most high in the western and it is called "el Altiplano"-the Highlands-) and two plain and hot areas: the "costa sur" on the south that ends in the Pacific Ocean and the territory of Peten on the north.

Climate: Semitropical, varies with altitude, but the major part the country deserves the way is called by many people as the land of the eternal spring.
